GUEST INFORMATION AND HOUSE RULES

Dear Guests,

We are pleased to welcome you to our private accommodation, Pannon Grace Balaton.

It is a great honor for us that you have chosen this special, nature-close home as the place of your rest. When designing the house, we aimed to ensure that our guests could experience the moments spent with us in an intimate, calm and inspiring environment, enjoying the natural beauty of the Balaton Highlands and the carefully designed interior spaces.
The following guidelines were created so that this harmony may be maintained for every guest. Thank you for reading them carefully and, through your cooperation, contributing to the preservation of the calm and refined atmosphere of Pannon Grace Balaton.
Please refrain from any activity that is not compatible with the proper use of the accommodation, in order to preserve the condition, order and cleanliness of the accommodation and its furnishings.

1. EQUIPMENT AND USE OF THE HOUSE

The house is fully equipped for the use of our guests:

  • spacious living room–kitchen–dining area

  • three comfortable, stylish bedrooms

  • two bathrooms

  • large private garden and panoramic terrace

  • outdoor jacuzzi

  • outdoor lounge furniture set

  • outdoor dining table and chairs

  • electric grill

  • ping-pong table with equipment

  • Wi-Fi

  • washing machine, dryer, iron, drying rack

  • fully equipped kitchen (induction hob, oven, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, coffee machine)

The house can be entered by means of a code system, the use of which will be explained in detail by the operator.

The accommodation is available to our guests from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival until 11:00 AM on the day of departure. Earlier arrival or later departure may be provided, subject to prior arrangement and availability, for an additional fee.
The smooth process of check-in and check-out is assisted by our operator, who is present at the agreed time. The operator must be informed of the planned arrival and departure time no later than the preceding day.
On the day of departure, handover of the accommodation takes place in the presence of the operator, with a joint inspection of the condition of the house and its furnishings. If the guest leaves the property at a time different from the agreed time, without the presence of the operator, the subsequent condition assessment will take place in a documented manner. The assessment is in all cases objective and supported by photographic evidence.
The guest will in all cases be informed of any damage, deficiencies, or consequences of violating the house rules that may be established, and is obliged to reimburse the incurred, verified costs.

Pursuant to the applicable legal regulations, a condition for using the accommodation is the recording of the guests’ data as prescribed by law. Upon arrival, every guest (including infants and children) is required to present a valid identification document (identity card, passport, or card-format driving licence). Without the digital recording of the documents, the accommodation provider is obliged to refuse accommodation.

To finalize the booking, payment of the full amount of the accommodation fee is required.

In addition to the accommodation fee, tourist tax (IFA) is payable, the amount of which, based on the local municipal decree, is HUF 500 / person / night (for guests over 18 years of age). The amount of the tourist tax is payable in cash upon arrival.

Please note that in the event of earlier departure, we are unable to refund the accommodation fee.

Our house operates in a closed manner, keeping in mind the undisturbed rest and safety of guests, therefore it may be used exclusively by the announced and registered guests. The stay of unannounced persons on the property constitutes a serious breach of the house rules, which may result in the immediate termination of the accommodation service, as well as the charging of a penalty amounting to 50–100% of the current daily accommodation fee per unauthorized person. The guest is obliged to pay the penalty.

We have completed the interior spaces of our house with unique, high-value works of art and paintings. Please take special care to preserve the condition of the artworks: do not touch the paintings and pictures, do not move them from their place, and do not lean any object against them. In the event of any kind of damage (scratch, contamination), the guest is obliged to reimburse the verified cost of restoration, or, if restoration is not possible, the verified value of the artwork.
In the event of causing damage, the guest bears financial liability up to the full, verified extent of the damage caused. The accommodation reserves the right to terminate the contract immediately in the event of a serious breach of the House Rules or the safety regulations.
Rules regarding the use of shoes: In order to preserve the cleanliness of the interior spaces and floor coverings, please place outdoor footwear in the storage area created in the entrance hall. We recommend that you bring comfortable indoor slippers for use inside the house.

The sewage system of the accommodation operates with a sewage lifting pump. In order to ensure its uninterrupted operation, we would like to draw our guests’ attention to the following:
Only toilet paper may be thrown into the toilet; any other material (wet wipes, cotton buds, cosmetic products, dental floss, intimate hygiene products, paper tissues, food residue, etc.) may cause the pump to malfunction.
A malfunction of the sewage lifting system results in significant technical damage and inconvenience, therefore it is important that every guest use the system carefully.

If the malfunction is caused by improper use, the costs of repair, cleaning and restoration shall be borne exclusively by the guest who caused the damage.

During the use of water and energy, please strive for environmentally conscious use. The air-conditioning equipment may not be used with open windows.

7. SMART HOME SYSTEM

The operation of the house is assisted by a modern smart home system.

The system must be used in accordance with the instructions provided, the access code provided must be treated confidentially, and the central settings must not be modified. It is prohibited to give the access code to an unauthorized person.

In the event of abnormal operation, please notify the operator without delay.

For the safety of our guests and the house, full compliance with the following rules is required:

- Fire protection: Smoke detectors operate in the building. Intentional damage to, covering of, or any manipulation of these will result in the immediate termination of the accommodation service, as well as reimbursement of all verified damages and costs arising therefrom. A fire extinguisher is available in the ground-floor utility room. It is prohibited to store flammable or explosive materials at the accommodation.
- Use of the electric fireplace: The appliance may only be used for its intended purpose. It is prohibited to cover the fireplace or block the ventilation openings. Please switch off the appliance when leaving and during the night.
- Open flame: In the house and throughout the entire garden area, in order to protect the surrounding nature and the building, the use of open flame (candle, tealight, torch, making a fire, pyrotechnic devices) is strictly prohibited.

Rules relating to smoking:

- Interior spaces: All forms of smoking are strictly PROHIBITED in the house.
- In the garden and on the terraces: The use of traditional cigarettes is permitted only in the designated place by the driveway gate. The use of electronic cigarettes and heating devices (e.g. IQOS) is also permitted in the garden and on the terraces; at the same time, we request the discreet and safe collection of used cartridges.

Sanctions: In the event of violation of the rules, a penalty of a minimum of EUR 300 will be charged. If the damage caused, restoration or cleaning costs exceed this amount, the guest bears liability up to the full, verified extent of the damage caused. The enforcement of the penalty does not exclude the enforcement of further claims for damages.

Valuables and safe: For the safety of our guests, a small safe is available at the accommodation, the use of which is free of charge. We inform you that the accommodation provider does not assume liability, to the extent permitted by the applicable legislation, for valuables, cash or personal belongings left on the premises of the accommodation or placed in the safe.
Vehicles: The accommodation provider does not assume liability, to the extent permitted by the applicable legislation, for any damage occurring in parked vehicles (e.g. natural damage, theft, or damage caused by a third party). Please do not leave valuables in visible places in the passenger compartment.
Camera system: For the safety of guests and property, an electronic surveillance system operates in the outdoor area of the property (entrance, gate, yard). No cameras operate in the interior spaces; we fully respect the privacy of our guests. By booking and using the accommodation, guests expressly acknowledge the operation of the external cameras.
The legal basis of the data processing is the legitimate interest of the accommodation provider (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), aimed at ensuring personal and property protection. The surveillance is proportionate, purpose-limited and restricted to the necessary extent.
The recordings are stored for a maximum of 12 days, after which they are automatically deleted. The recordings may only be accessed by the accommodation provider and are transferred to third parties only in the event of a legal obligation or an official request.

You are entitled to request information about the recordings, and may request access, deletion or restriction. In the event of a complaint, you may contact the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) (1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa u. 9–11., www.naih.hu).
Technical fault: If during your stay you experience any technical malfunction (especially in the operation of the locking system or the safe), please report it immediately. We are unable to accept subsequent complaints relating to security devices.

In the evening, and when leaving the house, please make sure that the gates, doors and windows are carefully locked

The safety of our guests is of utmost importance to us, and we do everything possible to ensure that Pannon Grace Balaton provides a comfortable and carefree environment.
Assumption of liability: We hereby inform our dear guests that when using the property and its furnishings (with particular regard to the outdoor stairs, terraces and wet surfaces), guests are obliged to comply with the rules of intended use and due care. The accommodation provider is not liable for personal injuries or damages resulting from improper use, violation of the house rules, or failure to exercise due care. Guests use the accommodation and its services properly and at their own risk.
Careful use: We kindly ask our guests to exercise increased caution and care when using the house, the terrace, the garden, and the jacuzzi. Due to the closeness of nature, insects and smaller wild animals may occasionally be present.
Supervision of children: Parents or accompanying persons bear full responsibility for the safety and continuous supervision of minor children throughout the entire property. The use of the jacuzzi is permitted for children only under direct adult supervision.
Technical safety: If during your stay you notice any technical malfunction, please report it immediately to our operator for your own safety.

11. QUIET AND THE PEACE OF THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, please pay special attention to silence and be considerate of the peace of the neighbourhood. Loud music and activities disturbing the peace of the neighbourhood are not permitted.
The accommodation primarily serves for peaceful rest, therefore we ask our guests to refrain from loud music and any behaviour that may disturb the peace of the neighbourhood.

Bachelor and bachelorette parties, as well as any other parties, are expressly prohibited at the accommodation.

12. USE OF THE OUTDOOR JACUZZI, TERRACE AND GARDEN

Jacuzzi rules of use:

The jacuzzi may be used by every guest exclusively at their own risk. The accommodation provider is not liable for health-related or other damages that cannot be attributed to abnormal operation of the equipment or conduct imputable to the accommodation provider.
Before using the jacuzzi, it is recommended to consider one’s current physical and health condition. The accommodation provider is not liable for health risks or indisposition resulting from the guest’s individual health condition or the circumstances of use.
It is especially prohibited for those guests to use the jacuzzi who have a known underlying illness in the case of which bathing in hot water may pose a risk. The use of the jacuzzi is not permitted for persons under the influence of alcohol, in an intoxicated state, or under the influence of mind-altering substances.

Children may stay in the water only under continuous parental supervision.

Rules of use and hygiene:

In order to preserve the cleanliness of the water:

  • Please shower before using the jacuzzi in every case.

  • It is strictly prohibited to take food, drinks and cosmetics (oil, bubble bath) into the water.

  • In order to avoid accidents, the use of glass cups on the terrace and around the jacuzzi is prohibited; please use the plastic cups provided.

  • The white bathroom towels are intended exclusively for indoor use; we recommend that you bring beach towels for the use of the jacuzzi.

  • After use, always replace the thermal cover in order to protect the water and the heat.

Causing damage and costs:

If the water becomes discoloured or cloudy due to improper use, extraordinary cleaning or water replacement may become necessary. The cost of this is a minimum of EUR 50, which the guest is obliged to reimburse. The enforcement of the penalty does not exclude the enforcement of further, verified damage or cost. If the actual cost of restoration exceeds this amount, the guest is obliged to reimburse the full, verified cost.

Use of the electric grill:

  • Do not leave the device unattended while in operation.

  • After use, hand over the grill grate, grease tray and the surrounding area of the grill in a clean condition.

  • After cooling and cleaning, place the grill back in the designated protected place on the terrace.

Outdoor furniture and equipment:

  • Garden furniture and sports equipment (e.g. ping-pong) are sensitive to the weather. In the event of rain or strong wind, the cushions must be taken to a covered place.

  • It is prohibited to take indoor furniture (chairs, tables) outdoors.

  • The terrace covering must be protected from objects causing mechanical damage.

Please place household waste in the outdoor bins. Clean up spilled food or drink immediately. In the event of an extraordinary degree of contamination, the additional cost of cleaning shall be borne by the guest.

Upon departure, hand over the house in a tidy condition, as it was received upon arrival.

Unfortunately, due to the premium furnishings and design of the accommodation, it is not possible to receive pets.

15. PARKING AND SERVICES DURING THE STAY

We provide parking space for two vehicles in the yard.

The driveway gate is opened by remote control, which is handed over by the operator upon arrival. The remote control must be returned to the operator at check-out. Please report the loss of the handed-over gate opener to the operator immediately, and we inform you that you are obliged to reimburse the verified costs arising from the loss of the gate opener.
In the case of a longer stay, we provide fresh bed linen and towels weekly, and, upon request, we carry out intermediate, refreshing cleaning for an additional fee for the comfort of our guests.

16. ACCEPTANCE OF THE HOUSE RULES

By booking and using the accommodation, the guest declares that he/she has become acquainted with, understood, and accepts these house rules as binding upon himself/herself.

The house rules form an inseparable part of the accommodation service.

For all damages and additional costs resulting from violation of the house rules, the guest bears liability up to the full, verified extent of the damage caused.
